It is the national tree of Sri Lanka and can grow up to 30 meters or 100 feet tall. Its flowers are used in making incense and also to stuff pillows.
In traditional medicine, its flowers are used to treat asthma, nausea and its oil from the seeds to treat scabies, wounds and rheumatism.
Common names include Cobra saffron in English and Nag champa in Hindi.”
