“1,400 year old Gingko tree attracts visitors with its perfect golden carpet!
Its magical autumn foliage has become a center of attraction after its leaves form a stunning golden carpet at this temple. With fan shaped leaves, the ginkgo is a large deciduous tree that will be completely bare and leafless in the heart of winter. Leaves have been falling from the tree since mid-November, making it one of the sights of the season.
Planted in a Chinese temple, it is located in the city of Xi’an, China and said to be planted for Emperor Li Shimin, the founding father of the Tang Dynasty ruling from 629 to 649.”
