The towering trees, fresh mountain air, and spectacular landscapes made this journey truly special. Walking through the dense greenery, I experienced nature’s beauty which reminded me of the importance of conservation. I learned there, moss does not take nutrients from trees, it just uses them for support.
There’s something truly humbling about standing among trees that have stood tall for centuries. These forests are not just scenic, they are extremely important for our planet’s health.
The journey to the mountain peaks was both challenging and rewarding. The effort was worth every step as I stood at the top, surrounded by clouds and endless landscapes.
With open arms, I embraced the peacefulness of Sikkim’s mountains.
During our exploration, I came across a pine fruit at the Lloyd Botanic Garden in Darjeeling. Did you know that pine trees remain evergreen throughout the year? Some growing as tall as even 250 feet? These towering giants play a crucial role in reducing air pollution, preventing soil erosion, and providing shelter to wildlife. This small discovery was a lovely reminder of how trees are vital to maintaining ecological balance.
These pines are found in temperate forests, forming thick green carpets.
Beyond the environmental impact, this journey was filled with moments of pure joy and team bonding. A thrilling river rafting experience brought us closer together. And, of course, what’s a trip without a fun team photo?
