“Friendship Tree

On the day that we were born,
There were no friends for company.
For our little root had barely grown,
To make our Friendship Tree.

But over the years with arms spread wide,
Life’s branches have been formed.
And as the years go swiftly by,
These friendships have been borne.

We may not always agree on things,
We may not always smile.
Yet to know we have a friend out there
Makes living all worthwhile.

With all these friends beside us,
When life seems to go so wrong.
Our friends will be our true support,
To help us grow up strong.
